Section 2: Project Description

Overview of the Existing Problem:
The agricultural sector in Sudan faces major challenges such as a lack of modern equipment, reliance on traditional methods, and insufficient technical support for farmers. These challenges negatively impact productivity, increase production costs, and limit opportunities for improving farmers’ income and achieving food self-sufficiency.

The project aims to bridge these gaps by establishing machinery rental centers that provide farmers with access to modern equipment without bearing high purchase costs. Additionally, both free and paid agricultural advisory services will be offered to enhance farming techniques and increase the efficiency of resource use, such as water and fertilizers.

Alignment with National Priorities and Policies:

This project aligns with Sudan’s national priorities, which focus on enhancing agricultural production, supporting smallholder farmers, and achieving food security. It also supports international agricultural organizations' goals of improving farming practices and reducing agricultural waste.

Relevance and Importance of the Project:

The project provides modern and integrated services for small and medium-scale farmers in rural agricultural areas. These farmers lack access to advanced agricultural machinery, limiting their productivity. Alert Services:
