Rationale

Overview of the Existing Problem:
Sudan faces major employment challenges, with youth and women struggling to find jobs due to a lack of technical and vocational skills. The local economy heavily depends on agriculture, handicrafts, and industry, but there is a shortage of trained workers, affecting productivity and economic growth.

Project Objectives:

• Provide high-quality vocational training in various fields such as carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, tailoring, handicrafts, and small business management.
• Facilitate employment opportunities for graduates by offering certified training and hands-on experience in collaboration with local companies.
• Promote entrepreneurship through small business training and access to micro-financing.
• Support local economic development by bridging the gap between market demand and workforce skills.

• Technical training courses in fields such as metalworking, carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, air conditioning, and refrigeration.
• Handicraft & creative industries training in areas such as tailoring, pottery, weaving, food production, embroidery, and leather goods.
• Entrepreneurship training on business management and microfinance to support small business development.

3. Employment & Market Integration

• Establish partnerships with companies and industries to ensure graduates find jobs.
• Launch the "Training for Employment" initiative, offering market-driven training programs.

4. Continuous Monitoring & Evaluation

• Develop a digital platform to track trainee progress and assess job readiness.
• Conduct impact studies to measure the economic and social benefits of training centers.

5. Activities & Expected Outcomes

• Train 50,000 youth and women within the first three years.
